Wildfire Scorches 120 Acres in Gorman CA PDF Print E-mail
Written by Site Admin
The United States Forest Services, Kern County and a 2nd alarm assignment from Los Angeles County Fire Department battled for two hours to stop a fast moving 120 acre wildfire in Hungry Valley State Park. Officials said they received numerous reports of a wildfire along Interstate 5 and Peaceful Valley road at the entrance to the Hungry Valley State Park. The fire quickly grew to a major emergency blaze that had potential to extend into the Los Padres National Forest. Air tankers and hand crews halted the wildfire in the remote portions of several canyons.
